CCU/CSC is now Accepting Applications for the 2020 John St-Amand/Madeleine Parent Bursaries!

September 10, 2020

The CCU/CSC will provide annual bursaries of $1,000 for dependent children of members of unions belonging to the CCU/CSC for the purpose of furthering their post-secondary education. There will be a lottery for these bursaries at the Executive Board Meeting on October 18, 2020. The dependent bursary application forms are listed below (both French and English versions).

Applicants eligible for the $1,000 bursaries are those who are ‘attending a post-secondary school’ and MUST be ‘dependent children’ of members of unions belonging to ‘affiliates’ of the CCU/CSC.

Successful applicants will be provided the award once the following information is submitted:

  1. Proof of Enrollment.
  2. A 500-1000 word essay on the topic “What Unionism means to you?”

Note: The information listed above does not have to be provided unless requested. If the above documents are not received by the successful applicants, alternate recipients will be selected.

Note: the deadline for submitting the application is October 1, 2020.
